The Dáil will hear calls today for the ESB to make a goodwill payment to affected customers following recent power outages as a result of Storm Eowyn.
The Calls will be made by Sinn Fein. Rose Conway Walsh is the Party Spokesperson on Public Expenditure and Reform.
She says many people across the West and North West of eh country have endured terrible suffering as a result of power outages in the aftermath of the storm almost three weeks ago.
The Mayo TD says it’s widely thought that a greater emphasis would have been placed on the recovery operation had the east of the Country borne the brunt of the damage.
Speaking on Ocean FM’s Lunchtime News, Rose Conway Walsh outlined how those worst impacted in areas such as Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal and Mayo should be compensated by the ESB.
