Sligo County Council hopes a dangerous three-storey building that's ready to collapse in the centre of Sligo town can be demolished within the coming days.
There has been concern for some time about the serious condition of the structure, located on High Street, beside the Friary.
Although it has been cordoned off, it's in a busy area of the town, particularly when people are attending Masses in the Friday church.
However, Sligo County Council Director of Services Tom Kilfeather, says it's now expected the long-running issue will be resolved very soon, with demolition possibly starting tomorrow, Tuesday.
