Gardai have confirmed that they are treating the death of a man in Sligo as a tragic accident.
The body of the man was discovered in the area of Hughes Bridge, Sligo town, on Thursday afternoon last.
It's understood that the remains found had been badly burned, with reports locally that they are that of a homeless man who had been sleeping in a tent in the area.
Gardai have confirmed that a post-mortem examination has taken place along with a full forensic examination of the scene.
Gardai say that no further information is available.
