We should know later today whether forthcoming mass gatherings, such as St Patrick's Day parades, will be cancelled.
Organisers of various St Patrick Day celebrations in the Counties of Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal are waiting on direction from the HSE before taking a final decision on whether proceeding or not with the celebrations on March 17th.

Dr Tony Holohan, from the Department of Health, says event organisers will be given guidance.
