The north west's two main hospitals have both seen a decrease in the numbers waiting on trolleys according to figures published by the INMO.

Tuesday's figures show that there were over over 90 waiting admission to Sligo and Letterkenny University Hospitals collectively this morning.

Letterkenny was the second most overcrowded hospital in Ireland today with 47 people waiting there.

There were slightly less at Sligo University Hospital with 45 waiting.

University Hospital Limerick remains the country's most overcrowded hospital with 106 recorded this morning.
