Defence Forces allays concerns after army jets spotted over Sligo

The Defence Forces has moved to allay concerns from member of the public in Sligo this afternoon after a number of jets were spotted in the sky.

There were a number of reports over army aircraft flying overheard in Sligo this afternoon and possibly heading in the direction of Strandhill.

However, a spokesperson from the Defence Forces confirmed to Ocean FM news that the aircraft is bound for the 28th Infantry Battalion celebrations in Finner and made a brief stop over at Strandhill.
