There's increasing pressure on the Department of Health to find a way to reopen the hydrotherapy pool at Cregg House in Sligo.
The pool has yet to reopen since it was shut due to the pandemic.
It had been widely used by people with Cerebral Palsy and other disabilities in the area.
The closest facility in Manorhamilton is said to full to capacity most of the time.
Speaking in the Dail, Sligo Leitrim Independent TD Marian Harkin says while the building has been sold, the new owner would have no issue reopening the pool to a the community.
Deputy Harkin says it had been a lifeline for many.
While responding, Minister of State Anne Rabbitte says she is working to get the facility in Sligo and others right around the country reopened:
