A Donegal TD has called on the HSE and the Department of Health to immediately provide funds to replace heart monitoring equipment at Letterkenny University Hospital.
The equipment had fallen into a state of disrepair. The situation has lead to a cut in services in the cardiology rehab services the hospital can now provide.
Donegal TD Pat the Cope Gallagher has criticised the HSE, saying it has failed to provide a budget to replace the equipment.
Deputy Gallagher says it is now critical that the HSE source the funding to provide new equipment and restore the full service.
