Disappointment in Donegal Town over cancellation of Taste of Donegal festival

There's disappointment in Donegal Town following news that the hugely popular Taste of Donegal festival will not go ahead.

The event usually attracts thousands of people to the town each year.

The major three-day event traditionally takes place on the last weekend of August.

Organisers took to social media to confirm that the event will not be going ahead this year and thanked those who have supported the festival over the years.

The festival last ran in 2019 and was a huge success.

It's not yet known whether the event will go ahead next year.
