A disqualified motorist has been caught speeding in Sligo.
Gardai have confirmed that while conducting a speed checkpoint, a car was detected travelling at 161km/h in a 100km/h speed zone by the Roads Policing Unit.

Following a search on the Garda's mobility device, the motorist was also found to be disqualified from driving.
Gardai are reminding all road users to slow down and help save lives.
