Dónal Gilroy has been re-elected to Sligo County Council.
The Fianna Fáil candidate's total of 1346 votes following the final count was enough to see him elected slightly ahead of Fine Gael's Tom Fox who picked up 1324 votes.

A native of north Sligo, Councillor Gilroy was first elected to the local authority in 2019.
