Donal Kelly has resigned from Donegal County Council.
He was co-opted onto the Council in November 2019 replacing his son Manus Kelly who died while taking part in the Donegal International Rally.
In a post online, he said it was a 'huge honour' to serve on the council but found the role was 'very challenging.'
His son, Donal Kelly Jnr., has been put forward to replace him on the council.
