Donegal Action for Cancer Care is welcoming the news that routine breast screening is resuming, with invitations being sent out to eligible women for appointments from March 8th.
Breast screening had stopped last year due to Covid-19 but restarted in October, with a reduced service in operation since January.
With levels of the Covid-19 virus dropping within the community, BreastCheck is now beginning the reintroduction of screening.
Betty Holmes, of Donegal Action for Cancer Care, has been telling Ocean FM News the up-to-date situation .

There has been concern during the Covid restrtictions about delays in various conditions being diagnosed and treated because of the reluctance of people to go to GPs and emergency departments.
But Betty Holmes says it's important that women with any symptoms or concerns get checked out.
