County Donegal is among five counties in the country with the most unauthorized quarries.
According to an RTE Investigates programme which will be broadcast tonight, there are 30 such quarries in the county.
Barry O Kelly is the reporter on the programme.
He says be believes Donegal County Council is determined to deal with the issue but lack of resources is a problem when it comes to enforcement.
