A Donegal charity has appealed to the owners of a cat to come forward after its donation unit was broken.
Animals in Need Donegal took to social media this week to highlight the issue after the cate was left in the closed-off donation drop-off unit.
The charity currently has a unit outside the store for dropping off donations out of hours and open shelves to leave items for the public- free of charge- as a zero waste unit.
However, it has appeared that the cat was left in the unit and burst out of the unit, breaking in the process.
In the statement, Animals in Need Donegal say the wish the health condition of the cat and was there more than one cat as two were seen on CCTV.
They say if the person doesn’t get in contact with them, anonymously, CCTV will be passed to Gardaí over animal abandonment.
