Bishops from Donegal and Limerick will travel to Rome for the Universal Synodal Assembly later this year.
Bishop Brendan Leahy of Limerick, and Bishop Alan McGuckian of Raphoe, are set to head to the Vatican.

Both say they're excited to be part of the assembly which will also have 70 non-bishops in attendance.
The first session of the 16th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops will take place in October.
