Donegal Councillor calls for immediate shutdown of all beaches

A local Councillor has called for the immediate closure of all beaches in Donegal.

Lives of residents across the north west are being put at risk by those choosing not to comply with the social distancing guidelines.

That’s according to Donegal Municipal District Councillor Mick McMahon.

The Fein Councillor says large attendances visited several beaches and tourist attractions in Donegal over the weekend and failed to comply with HSE guidelines on social distancing.

Cllr McMahon says more measures need to be introduced immediately.
