Donegal County Council have activated their Severe Weather Assessment Team ahead of Storm Ashley's arrival.
A number of measures are in place across the county, with sandbags put down at various locations.
The Pier Car Park in Donegal Town will also be closed this evening from 7pm until 10pm, having previously been closed this morning between 6.30am and 9.30am.
The council are also advising anyone travelling today to minimise their journeys and be aware of road conditions, particularly in relation to flooding and debris on the road.
