A significant amount of agricultural waste has been found dumped near Lough Derg in Donegal this week.
Donegal County Council has launched an investigation into the incident.
The Council says that the waste contained sheep drench containers which, while empty on this occasion, could be very harmful if even a small drop made its way into a watercourse.
Anyone with information is being urged to come forward.
