Donegal County Council is to carry research into the economic impact of cruise tourism.
A number of high profile cruisers have been coming into Donegal in recent years with one of the largest ever docking in Killybegs last month - the Cunard Queen Victoria carried over 2000 passengers.
The next cruiser - the Queen Elizabeth is due to visit Killybegs next Friday the 20th of July.
This week, Donegal County Council confirmed it will develop a brochure promoting cruise tourism.
