Donegal County Council has recorded the highest amount of applications, approvals, and grant payments for the Vacant Refurbishment Homes Grant.
Since the launch of the Grant in July 2022, Donegal has registered 1,042 application, 715 approvals, and 93 grant payments.
Nationally, over €77 million has already been paid out to bring nearly 1,500 homes back into use in towns and villages across the country.
The Minister for Housing James Browne has welcomed the figures, saying that the “rapid increase in grant payments shows the scheme is growing momentum, helping to tackle vacancy and providing much-needed housing.”
