Donegal Fine Gael duo secure Seanad nominations

Two Donegal-based Fine Gael members have been nominated to the Seanad by Tánaiste Simon Harris.

Nikki Bradley, who was previously appointed to the Seanad and Councillor Manus Boyle are among the eleven nominees in total.

Senator Bradley contest the 2024 General Election in the Donegal constituency while Senator Boyle was elected to Donegal County Council for the very first time in June 2024.

Their appointments will come as a boost to Fine Gael members within the county following Joe McHugh's retirement and the failure to elect to a candidate in the last General Election.

Both join Fianna Fáil's Niall Blaney and Independent Eileen Flynn as the Donegal representatives in the upper house.
