Donegal Fire service must maintain current level of service - Sweeney

A Donegal County Councillor is calling on Donegal Fire Service to, at the very least, maintain its current level of service and improve what is already in place in the south of the county.

There's an ongoing campaign to have both Ballyshannon and Bundoran fire stations serve the community of south Donegal.

At yesterday's meeting of Donegal County Council, Councillor Barry Sweeney expressed concern in relation to the language being used when discussing the fire service locally.

Councillor Sweeney believes that any change must be for the better and any potential downgrade in that service would be unacceptable:
