The Donegal-based vice-president of the Garda Representative Association says he is now hopeful that association members will be given the priority they deserve when it comes to administration of the Covid-19 vaccine.
About 40 gardai in the north west are off work because they have the virus or were close contacts of a confirmed case.
Garda Brendan O Connor told Ocean FM News he now expects gardai to be in line for the vaccine after healthcare workers and vulnerable residents.
It's a move he welcomes but added he and his members will be looking for more details.,
