Donegal has most expensive creches in North West

Parents living in certain parts of Donegal pay the highest monthly fees in the North West for crèches while those in Leitrim pay the lowest.

A new study in today's Irish Independent shows that parents in Donegal could be paying up to 780 euro more than those in Leitrim for full day childcare.

In Sligo, fees range from 640 - 880 euro. In Donegal prices go from 600 - 1,200 euro while Leitrim prices range from 420 - 600 euro.

The nationwide survey of 220 private crèches has found that parents in south ­Dublin pay the highest monthly fees in the country while those living in Monaghan pay the lowest.
