Donegal is the most law-abiding county in the country.

Longford had the highest rate of imprisonment in Ireland last year - followed by Limerick, Dublin and Louth.

161 people were jailed in Longford, per 100,000 population.

Donegal was the most law-abiding county, per capita, with rate of just 34.

Former governor of Mountjoy Prison, John Lonergan, says some areas linked to gangland crime have high rates.
