Donegal - John McDonnell (Ind) loses on 8th count

John McDonnell has been eliminated on the 8th count in the Donegal constituency.

He received 4,735 first preferences and ended on 7,106.

There are now 4 candidates remaining fighting for the final 3 seats following Sinn Fein's Pearse Doherty and Padraig MacLochlainn being elected on the 1st count last night
