The Donegal Local Electoral area is still housing the highest number of Ukrainian refugees in the Ocean FM franchise area and the entire North West region.
There’s currently just over two thousand Ukrainians living in south Donegal, according to the latest statistics from the CSO.
When taking County Sligo and the Manorhamilton and Donegal LEAs into account, there’s just over five thousand people from Ukraine residing in this area.
Sligo Drumcliff is currently housing just over one thousand Ukrainian people.
This is followed by Sligo – Strandhill at just over 972.
The Ballymote Tubbercurry MD has just shy of 500 while the Manorhamilton MD has 452 Ukrainian people living there.
Nationally, more than 107 thousand people have arrived in Ireland from Ukraine since the start of the conflict with Russia.
Just over 100 people arrived here in the week ending the 2nd of June.
CSO data shows that 76 per cent of those allocated a PPSN number had activity in administrative data after the end of March this year.
