An investigation is underway after a man, believed to be from Donegal was found dead in prison this morning.
The prisoner, who was in his 20s, was found in his cell at Castlerea Prison.

His family have been informed of his death.
It's understood that the man was recently handed a 15-month sentence.

The cause of death will be determined by the Coroner's Office.
