Donegal Mica campaigners claim they will still suffer financial losses in new redress scheme

Mica campaigners from Donegal say they'll be out "tens of thousands of euro" despite changes to the redress scheme.

 

The sliding scale element of the plan is likely to be scrapped, as the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland do not use this system to create cost reports.

The scale had been heavily criticised by campaigners when it was published in the Government's plan last year.

 

Michael Doherty from the Mica Action Group in Donegal says the 420 thousand euro cap is another obstacle facing homeowners:
