Donegal Minister commends farmers' environmental efforts

The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine has commended local farmers contribution to the environment and biodiversity.

Farmers across the region have been praised for their efforts to protect water bodies and improve water quality, enhance habitats, and reduce agricultural emissions.

It is understood that the work undertaken by farmers as part of the ACRES scheme will have long term benefits for the country.

Donegal Fianna Fail Minister Charlie McConalogue says “We should not underestimate the value farmers are adding to our landscape and our lives, and how important the work that they do is.”
