The Donegal Mountain Rescue Team are urging the public to call for help if an issue arises.
The appeal comes as two walkers got into difficulty on Muckish Mountain in west Donegal.

At 5.15pm on Friday evening, two disorientated young walkers raised the alarm as they were coming down off the mountain.
The Mountain Rescue Team made their way to the Grotto and the walkers’ location was established using Sarlock technology.

The walkers were guided off the hill and to their very anxious father.
The rescue was stood down at 9pm.
The walkers have been praised for alerting the team as soon as they knew they were in difficulty as they had no waterproofs or torches.
