The Donegal Mountain Rescue Team have responded to a second call in 24 hours.
On Friday, two disorientated young walkers were rescued off Muckish Mountain.
While at 6.30pm on Saturday evening, the team was tasked to locate and assist walkers at Lough Salt.
Using Sarlock technology, the walkers were located near Golan on the Milford side, which meant they had travelled far from their starting point at Lough Salt and were very tired, wet and cold.
After a short ascent through farmyard and woodland, the walkers were located and swiftly walked off the hill joined by the rescue team.
After making sure they were well, they were driven back to their vehicle by a rescue team volunteer.
The rescue was stood down shortly before 9pm.
Meanwhile yesterday a walker in their 60’s was taken to Sligo University Hospital for treatment after they sustained a leg yesterday on Knocknarea Mountain yesterday.
It’s understood that the incident took place after lunch time yesterday.
The Sligo Leitrim Mountain Rescue Team attended the injured person at the scene.
Paramedics from National Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
The casualty was removed by stretcher to a waiting ambulance and then transported to Sligo University Hospital for further treatment.
