A Donegal car testing centre had an NCT pass rate more than 20% lower than the country's busiest inspection site last year, new figures can reveal.
At just 40.01%, Derrybeg in Donegal had the lowest success rate of 49 NCT centres in 2022.
Elsewhere in Donegal, in 51.05% of vehicles passed in Donegal while 46.36% passed in Letterkenny.
Meanwhile, in Sligo, 52.47% vehicles received a successful test outcome.

48.68% vehicles at Leitrim's sole test centre in Carrick-On-Shannon passed.
Carrick-On-Shannon also had the highest "fail dangerous" rate in the country at 10.2%, followed closely by Derrybeg at 10%.
