Donegal road gritting to be done despite weather warning expiry

Despite the yellow weather warning expiring in the North West this evening, road gritting is set to be carried out overnight.

Temperatures are still expected to be hazardous over the coming days, and local authorities are acting proactively in relation to road safety.

The Donegal Winter Maintenance programme will be operating from 6pm along a number of designated routes.

Motorists are still being reminded to drive with caution over the next few days and to presume that no road is ice-free.
