A Donegal TD has accused the HSE of being extremely irresponsible and placing patients at serious risk in the way it handled the recent National Ambulance strike.
Independent TD Thomas Pringle says the HSE did not inform its call centre staff or management about the action or the possibility of implementing any contingency plans.
Deputy Pringle is calling on the HSE and the Minister for Health to clarify the situation and to put measures in place to ensure there is no repeat of the situation.
