An Independent TD for Donegal is urging the Health Minister to consider recruiting doctors from Cuba to ease the shortage of doctors across the country.
There's concern that the current shortage of doctors cannot be addressed in the short term.
Donegal TD Thomas Pringle has already been in touch with the Cuban Ambassador about the possibility of medical personnel from Cuba coming to Ireland in a bid to ease the pressure on the health service and says they are open to the suggestion.
