A Donegal TD is renewing calls for targeted supports to be introduced for struggling mortgage holders.
It comes as tracker mortgage holders are set to see their repayment costs going up from today.
The European Central Bank is to up its interest rates again - with an official announcement expected at lunchtime.
It's anticipated it will be a quarter of one percent rise - however it could be even more.
Sinn Fein Finance Spokesperson Pearse Doherty raised the matter in the Dáil with Tanaiste Michael Martin, warning that further increase in interest rates will impact many homeowners:
