Donegal tour company counting cost after stolen caravan destroyed by fire

A west Donegal water sport company has been left counting the cost following the alleged theft of their caravan.

Selkie Sailing’s storage unit - a vintage caravan - is believed to have been stolen from Magheroarty pier a number of days ago.

However, the owner of the company found the caravan burnt out on the side of the road yesterday.

In a statement on social media, the company described it as a financial loss that they might not be able to recover.

It had stored all their surfboards and bodyboards, which are vital equipment for their tours.
An investigation is ongoing.
