Donegal undertaker angry over vandalism to 'wake' signs

A Donegal undertaker has voiced his anger and disappointment after electronic signs he had hired to ensure the safety of people attending a wake were damaged.

Ocean FM News had reported yesterday how batteries were stolen from the signs.

The two electronic boards, which flashed a warning with the words 'Slow, Wake Ahead' had been hired by undertaker John Cassidy.

He says the signs, which had been put up at Drumlonagher, Donegal Town, were badly vandalised, resulting in thousands of euro worth of damage, as well as having put lives at risk on the busy main Donegal/Ballybofey road.

Mr Cassidy says it's a serious situation when signs related to a wake are interfered with.
