Dooley urges government to take ownership of Broadband

Fianna Fáil says it's not too late for the Government to take ownership of the National Broadband Plan - by awarding it to the ESB.

It's after Communications Minister Richard Bruton confirmed that a decision on the issue won't be made this week.

Over 500 thousand homes and business across the country are waiting for access to high speed connectivity.

Fianna Fáil spokesperson Timmy Dooley says the tender process has been irreparably damaged since two bidders pulled out last year:
