€200,000 for maintaining heritage projects across Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal

€200,000 for maintaining heritage projects across Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal

€200,000 has been allocated for 28 different projects under the government's Built Heritage Investment Scheme.

12 sites in Sligo will receive a total of €72,000 11 in Donegal will also get €72,000 while 5 projects in Leitrim are being given €56,000.

477 heritage projects around the country will benefit from a total fund of €3m

It's hoped construction will fully reopen in early May, but this is subject to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Fine Gael Councillor, Thomas Walsh says the funds will help protect our heritage.
