€3m in funding has been approved for the LYIT Killybegs Tourism College.
The School of Tourism of Letterkenny IT has been located in Killybegs since 1969 and is seen as a major focus of the tourism potential and training of the town.
Local government TD and Minister of State Joe McHugh is welcoming the funding.
He says three quarters of a million euro of this money will be rolled out each year.
