The long running issue of securing the services of an early intervention child psychologist to cover the county of Leitrim has finally been resolved following the appointment of a new psychologist being appointed to the position.
Sinn Féin Councillor Brendan Barry has welcomed the appointment.
He says that the entire preschool assessment of children was being stalled without having all the necessary professionals in place to fully access children prior to commencing national school.
