Easkey post office under threat of closure

Another post office in the region is under threat of closure.

The postmaster at Easkey in west Sligo will retire in March and the local community will have to make a case to An Post to ensure to post office remains open.

It's yet another blow for post offices in the region with the future of Ballygawley Post Office still under threat.

Blacklion post office on the Leitrim, Cavan, Fermanagh border closed indefinitely last year after the postmistress there retired.
