The Communications Minister say the government hasn't been put over a barrel by Eir pulling out of the bidding process for the National Broadband Plan.
It means there's only one bidder left, with fears they may jack up the price they want from government to deliver broadband around the country.
Communications Minister Denis Naughten says that won't be the case, but they have a plan B if it does happen:
