Uisce Éireann was on site yesterday to carry out emergency works to repair a burst pipe which caused water supply issues for customers in areas of Co Sligo.
Effected areas included Grange East, Cairns Hill County, Kilmacowen and Strandhill.
Following what was called “difficult and unforeseen excavation conditions” works continued into last night.
Uisce Éireann advises that as the water supply returns, there may be some increased instances of discoloured water in the short-term. This can usually be cleared by running the tap for a few minutes until the water runs clear.
