The ESB claim that the installation of smart meters in buildings across the North West will provide a number of benefits for households including making them more energy efficient.
ESB have installed over one million smart meters nationwide with over 60,000 installed across counties of Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.

The ESB Networks has been tasked with the delivery of the roll out programme of the meters which is part of Ireland's Climate Action plan.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, Carmel O'Connor, ESB Neworks Smart Metering Manager has been outlining the benefits of smart meters and the process of installing them.
