Family of Leitrim Farmer continue to seek information ahead of the fifth anniversary of his death

There are media reports today suggesting that a former neighbour of the late Liam Farrell has told how she witnessed him talking to a mystery man in a bar in Rooskey just hours before he died.

The Irish Independent are reporting that one of the last people to speak to Mr Farrell in Reynolds Pub in Rooksey, in January 11, 2020 was left concerned by the meeting.

Mr Farrell’s body was found the following afternoon lying at the back of the family home where he lived alone.

An inquest held in September returned an open verdict, which meant that the jury could not be satisfied as to the actual circumstances surrounding the death.

Ann Vaughan claims the 87 year old farmer was in the company of a man she had never seen before and who left her with a “bad feeling”.

As the fifth anniversary of the death of Liam Farrell approaches, his family are hopeful that someone in the local community has information that could help with their quest to discover what led to their Father’s death.
