Local Farming official calls for stronger measures to prevent dog attacks on sheep

Leitrim farmer and IFA National Sheep Chairman Kevin Comiskey this week led a delegation to meet Minister Social Protection Minster Heather Humphreys to put forward stronger measures that are needed to curb dog attacks.

 

The IFA delegation also held meetings with the Minister for Justice Helen McEntee and Minister for Agriculture Charlie McConalogue.

The farm official said there was a constructive discussion with Minister Humphreys, who understands the issues and is committed to addressing farmer concerns.
